Cristopher paolini, author of the Inheritance cycle

The following is the biography of Cristopher paolini:

Paolini was raised in the Paradise Valley, Montana area. His family members include his parents, Kenneth Paolini and Talita Hodgkinson, and his sister, Angela Paolini.[1] Home schooledfor the duration of his education, Paolini graduated from high school at the age of 15 through a set of accredited correspondence courses from American School in Chicago, Illinois. Following graduation, he started his work on what would become the novel Eragon and its sequel Eldest, both set in the kingdom of Alagaƫsia.
In 2002, Eragon was published by Paolini International LLC, Paolini's parents' company. To promote the book, Paolini toured over 135 schools and libraries, discussing reading and writing, all the while dressed in "a medieval costume of red shirt, billowy black pants, lace-up boots, and a jaunty black cap."[1] Paolini's sister Angela created the cover art for the first edition of Eragon, which featured Saphira's eye. She also drew the maps on the inside covers of his books.[2]
In Summer 2002, the stepson of author Carl Hiaasen found Eragon in a bookstore and loved it, and Hiaasen brought it to the attention of his publisher, Alfred Knopf.[3][4] Knopf subsequently made an offer to publish Eragon and the rest of the Inheritance cycle. The second edition of Eragon was published by Knopf in August 2003. At the age of nineteen, Paolini became a New York Times bestselling author.[5] Eragon has since been adapted into a film of the same name.
Paolini's essay "It All Began with Books" was included in the April 2005 anthology Guys Write for Guys Read.
Eldest, the sequel to Eragon, was released August 23, 2005. The third book in the cycle, Brisingr, is scheduled to be released on September 20, 2008.[6] The series will be expanded to include a fourth book.[7]

My Inheritance

Haven't read a book in the inheritance cycle. Then this is for you. In my tenth grade I used to be mad about harry potter. I read some of the books more than four times. But one fine day I came across a book with a red cover. Suddenly my mind raced back years ago when I had seen the book's cover, eldest it was. I took it from the shelf to my freinds. They weren't interested in books as much as I was, but one of them(kunal) recognised it and begged me to give it to him. I said let me read it first then maybe you can issue it. He said I couldn't do this as it was a sequel to another book. My interest aroused, this book looked interesting and also had a prequel. He told me that he had a copy of the prequel named eragon. So he issued edldest and the next day I had eragon in my hands. I read it and got lost in the magic of christopher paolini. Since then I have read the both books three times. So if you haven't yet read the books of the magical inheritance cycle and want to know whether or not its worth reading or you just wanna know more about the inheritance cycle then go to this website. It'll sate all your inheritance hunger.

Eragon movie

The movie under the banner of century fox was not so popular at the box office. I don't know the reason for it being a flop but still it is the official movie for eragon. It was released in 2006. I had watched it recently just before starting this blog. In my own opinion I think this movie is an admonishment. But still people like watching it. I have the movie in my hard disk but uploading it would be a suicide as my broadband connection is limited. I am trying my level best find a link that will provide you with free copy of eragon. In the meantime I think you like some more information on movie so I'm giving a link below.

Farewell inheritance

An interesting website regarding inheritance cycle closed a few months ago. I visited it and found a farewell letter. It tells the future of the inheritance cycle. I think you would like reading it.
I am also thinking of uploading the eragon movie soon, hope you like it. Many sites also support fan fiction. I think it's my duty to check them out also. Eragon, eldest have been bestsellers and have made many including you and me a big fan of it. If anyone of you have an idea how this inheritance cycle should become in the near future, just mail it to DEBU350@GMAIL.COM. Just let your imagination run wild.

Random house announcement of the title & cover of book 3 in inheritance

The following is the formal announcement for the book 3 title and cover(source: a fan site):

For release Wednesday, January 16, 2008, 9:00 a.m. EDT
ALFRED A. KNOPF BOOKS FOR YOUNG READERS UNVEILS
TITLE AND COVER FOR BOOK THREE IN CHRISTOPHER PAOLINI’S
#1 BESTSELLING INHERITANCE CYCLE
BOOK THREE IN THE INHERITANCE CYCLE WILL HAVE A
FIRST PRINTING OF 2.5 MILLION COPIES
New York, NY (January 16, 2008)—Following the #1 bestselling novels Eragon and Eldest, the third book
in Christopher Paolini’s Inheritance cycle will be titled BRISINGR, it was announced today by Nancy
Hinkel, Publishing Director of Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Random House
Children’s Books. BRISINGR (BRIS-ing-gr), an Old Norse word for fire, will be familiar to fans of the
cycle as the first word in the ancient language that Eragon hears. The jacket for BRISINGR has been
illustrated by the renowned John Jude Palencar, illustrator of both the Eragon and Eldest covers.
“BRISINGR is one of the first words I thought of for this title, and it’s always felt right to me,” said
Christopher Paolini. “As the first ancient-language word that Eragon learns, it has held particular
significance for his legacy as a Dragon Rider. In this new book, it will be revealed to be even more
meaningful than even Eragon could have known.”
BRISINGR will have a first printing of 2.5 million copies, the largest initial run ever for a Random House
Children’s Books title. Originally slated for release on September 23, 2008, the book will now go on sale at
12:01 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008. Hinkel explains, “After the initial announcement of Book
Three’s release, we received an outpouring of requests from booksellers hoping to host midnight launch
parties. We have responded to their enthusiasm by advancing the date, and we know fans will welcome the
opportunity to celebrate the publication together.”
BRISINGR will be published simultaneously in the United States as an audiobook by Random House’s
Listening Library division. Michelle Frey, Executive Editor with Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young
Readers, who worked with Paolini on Eragon and Eldest, is the editor of BRISINGR.
Both #1 New York Times bestsellers in the United States, Eragon and Eldest have also been international
sensations. To date there are 50 foreign-language licenses for Eragon alone, and together Eragon and
Eldest have sold 12.5 million copies worldwide. In its first week on sale in North America in August 2005,
Eldest sold more than 425,000 hardcover copies, making Eldest the greatest single-week sale ever recorded
for a Random House Children’s Books title—hardcover or paperback—and the fastest-selling title in the
publisher’s history.
Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers is an imprint of Random House Children’s Books, the world’s
largest English-language children’s trade book publisher. Random House Children’s Books is a division of
Random House, Inc., whose parent company is Bertelsmann AG, a leading international media company.
